Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
At the dawn of the 21st century, magic, long thought of as folklore and fairy tales, has become a systemized technology and is taught as a technical skill. At First High School, the institution of magicians, students are separated into two groups based on their scores on the entrance exam: Second Course.
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei follows siblings, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, who are enrolled in the first high school. After passing the exam, the prodigious Miyuki is placed in the first course, while Tatsuya is relegated to the second course. Although his practical test scores and “weed” status show him magically incompetent, he possesses extraordinary technical knowledge, physical combat abilities, and unique magical techniques, making Tatsuya the irregular of a magical high school.
