Psycho Pass
Justice and its application have changed. In the 22nd century, Japan applies the Sibyl System, an objective means of determining each citizen’s threat level by examining their mental state for signs of criminal intent, known as the Psycho-Pass. Inspectors enforce the law by subduing, often with deadly force, anyone harboring the slightest ill will; alongside them are enforcers, jaded inspectors turned latent criminals, granted relative freedom in exchange for doing the inspectors’ dirty work. Into this world enters Akane Tsunemori, a young woman with a sincere desire to uphold justice. However, while working alongside veteran Enforcer Shinya Kougami, she quickly learns that the Sibyl System’s judgments aren’t as perfect as her fellow inspectors assume. With everything she’s known upside down, Akane struggles with the question of what justice really is and whether it can be upheld through the use of a system that may already be corrupt.
