Since the death of his father, the burden of supporting the family has fallen on Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. Although living poor on a remote mountain, the Kamado families are able to enjoy a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go to the local village to earn some money by selling charcoal.

On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjiro to take refuge in a strange man’s house, who warns him about the existence of flesh-eating monsters that lurk in the woods at night. When he finally comes back home the next day, he has a terrifying scene – his entire family has been murdered. Worse yet, the only survivor is his sister Nezuko, who has been transformed into a bloodthirsty demon. Fueled by anger and hatred, Tanjirou vows to avenge his family and be with his only remaining brother. Along with the mysterious group calling itself the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjirou will do whatever it takes to slay the demons and protect what remains of his beloved sister’s humanity.
