Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
The world is in the midst of an industrial revolution when horrible creatures emerge from a mysterious virus, tearing the flesh of humans to sate their endless appetites. The only way to kill these beings, known as “Kabane”, is to destroy their steel-clad hearts. However, if bitten by one of these monsters, the victim is doomed to a fate worse than death, as the dead rise once more to join the ranks of their fellow undead.
Only the most fortified civilizations survived this turmoil, as is the case with Hinomoto Island, where humanity created a massive wall to protect themselves from the endless Kabane hordes. The only way to access these giant fortresses is by heavily armored trains, which are maintained and built by young men like Ikoma. Having created a lethal weapon that he believes will easily pierce Kabane’s heart, Ikoma looks forward to the day when he can fight using his new invention.
