In the year 2071, humanity colonized several planets and moons of the solar system, leaving behind the now uninhabitable surface of planet Earth. The Inter-Solar System Police attempt to keep the peace in the galaxy, aided in part by outlaw bounty hunters known as “Cowboys”. The motley crew aboard the Bebop spacecraft is made up of two such people. The sweet and carefree Spike Spiegel is balanced by his loud and pragmatic partner, Jet Black, as the duo make their living hunting bounties and collecting rewards.
Diverted by the addition of new members they meet on their travels – Ein, a genetically modified and highly intelligent Welsh Corgi; femme fatale Faye Valentine, an enigmatic trickster with memory loss; and bizarre computer genius Edward Wong – the crew embarks on thrilling adventures that slowly unravel each member’s dark and mysterious past. Well-balanced with high-density action and light-hearted comedy, Cowboy Bebop is a space western classic and a tribute to the smooth, improvisational music that gave it its name.
