Some people suddenly find religion, but for 16-year-old Kusanagi Godou, it was this REALLY ancient religion that found him! Following the God of War’s defeat in mortal combat, Godou is stuck in the undesirable position of Campione!, or God Slayer, whose duty it is to fight heretical gods whenever they attempt to muscle up on the local territory. Not only does this risk making Godou a roadkill on the Highway to Heaven, but it’s also a job that comes with a lot of other problems.
